Today I'm looking back at another of my very favorite family photography sessions from this past fall. We gathered for photographs in the most gorgeous setting, overlooking the Potomac River from the grounds of Madiera School in McLean, Virginia, where the oldest of the Remy kids studies. Truly spectacular. The range of ages in the Remy family is so very close to the reality of my family: teens to a very young one. I really do love the unique challenges that come with a photographing a large family, and it was a privilege to be the one to capture this very dear family. The youngest, Sabrina, is quite comfortable behind the camera, but expressed her opinion right away, that she wasn't up for taking photos on this particular day. But that didn't last long. She joined in the fun of our leisurely photography session along with her parents and older siblings, as we wandered about the grounds, looking at the view, playing in the fall leaves and throwing sticks . I loved having Kylie Galyen there to assist and I love this collection of photographs. Check out this family's amazing journey of the past few years. www.teamsabrina.com.
I had the best time photographing this very special family on this December afternoon. We met on the Town Green in Vienna, a really perfect spot as this is the heart of the town where these kids have grown up. Usually scattered at their places of work and study, it's no small feat to gather a family with grown kids for pictures, but we made it happen. What a beautiful family. I was the lucky one to be there with them to capture the beauty and love and friendship among them.
