We made portraits of beautiful Lily, high school senior, 2016, in celebration of her graduation. She's now in University, enjoying her freshman year. I was so happy I could capture her at this exciting time in her life. A little rain didn't spoil our time. Sweet gal with a beautiful and bright future. Wonderful things in store for you.

As we approach Election Day, I wanted to revisit this interesting conversation I got to be in on as I took photographs for The Mercatus Center. Nate Silver, the celebrated statistician and the founder of ESPN's Five Thirty Eight fivethirtyeight.com was pictured at the event in pictures below as a part of Mercatus Center's series, Conversations with Tyler. To much acclaim, Silver successfully predicted the winner of all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the 2012 election. Fascinating.

I had a few family sessions scheduled during the hot month of August in Northern Virginia. Thankfully, this particular day, although hot, wasn't the worst of these balmy days. And despite the heat, we had a wonderful time and we captured in these photographs exactly what I had hoped for. This lovely historic park, Fort C.F. Smith Park, was the perfect place for our walk along the paths with Asha, their German Shephard. Asha was completely cooperative and I think maybe she even felt she was the center of the show. Clearly, she is completely confident in her family's love. And yes, they are such a wonderful family. I'm so grateful they allowed me the awesome privilege of capturing their family in photographs.

A little creativity and furniture moving and playing with light was only part of the fun I had as photographer on this late summer morning to capture headshots for them. The real fun, though, for me was hearing their story of their friendship and the way they've poured their energy into their families and raising their kids over the years, and now how they have together formed and launched the realtor team, Becky and Barb. I love seeing how they are using their talents and giftings and now are fulfilling their callings in an entirely new sphere. They are long-time friends, now turned business partners and they make a power team that you've got to meet. It's exciting for me to get to share these images of these beautiful women and introduce them to you. They have launched and are ready to go here in the Northern Virginia area.

This beautiful woman moved to this community and blessed so many of those around her. She has now returned to Chile, her home, and we miss her. I love this collection of images of these five from this recent summer session. I love this family. The sun was indeed shining on this very hot day, and we had such fun.
Riverbend park, nestled along the Potomac for years has been a very special place to this family. It was the place for family walks when the girls were young. We met together early on one of these very balmy summer days before the heat set in. They led me along the path to a quiet setting overlooking the water. Oh my goodness, what an amazing morning with these dear ones. Together, we walked, enjoyed the morning light, the sun reflecting on the Potomac, and along the way we captured a very sweet point in time before the eldest of the girls heads to University.
